Booking an education visit to Dartmoor Zoo could not be easier

This form is not your entrance ticket. You will receive confirmation of your booking via email within five working days. If for any reason your request cannot be accommodated, then a member of staff will contact you to discuss.

Transport to the Zoo
Thinking of booking a trip to Dartmoor Zoo but needing to keep travel costs down?
We have teamed up with Tamar Coaches to bring you an unbeatable transport deal.
If your school is based in the Plymouth area (PL1 – PL9), they can provide you with your own coach to and from the Zoo for just £195.
This would include a 10:00am pickup time from the school and 2pm collection time from Dartmoor Zoo. Please do remember to be prompt when meeting the coach.

Ratios
We provide free admission for supervisory adults as follows:
EYFS – 1 adult per 3 students
KS1 – 1 adult per 6 students
KS2 – 1 adult per 8 students
KS3 and KS4 – 1 adult per 10 students
Post-16 – 1 adult per 15 students
We do provide 1:1 ratios for students if required
Additional adults are charged a reduced rate of £9.50 per adult

Responsibility for risk assessing a Dartmoor Zoo visit rests with the school/organisation. To assist with the planning of a risk assessment, please see below the following risk control measures that we take. These are for your guidance only and should not be used in place of your full risk assessment.

Terms and Conditions
- Our standard terms of entry apply. These may be subject to change without notice.
- By making an enquiry you agree to us contacting you regarding your booking.
- School children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during their visit.
- Visits must be pre-booked to qualify for educational visit rates.
- Any disruptive behaviour on site will be reported and dealt with immediately. Unfortunately, in extreme cases, this may lead to the whole school group being asked to leave the Zoo premises.
- Discovery and Adventurer packages have a minimum charge of five students. Discovery Plus package has a minimum charge of 20 students.
- Groups will be invoiced following their visit. However, any groups smaller than five students will be required to pay on the day or over the phone, by cash or card.
Cancellations and amendments
- If you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, please do so in writing 14 days prior to your booking date. Cancellations under 14 days’ notice from the booking date will be charged at 50% of the original quoted price. In unforeseen circumstances, this fee can be waived if the same experience is rebooked for a later date.
- On rare occasions unforeseen circumstances may necessitate us to postpone your trip at short notice. In this event you will be contacted via email or phone as soon as possible. We recommend that you check your messages and emails regularly before your visit in case we have contacted you.
