Dartmoor Zoo offers a truly unique wedding experience and venue in Devon’s stunning Dartmoor National Park. Surrounded by 33 acres of gardens and fascinating animals, getting married at Dartmoor Zoo promises to deliver a fantastic experience for everyone.
Our beautiful ceremony room, with original wooden floor and fireplace, creates a perfectly intimate atmosphere, accommodating up to 50 seated guests – but we can host larger ceremonies too! Large Winter ceremonies are held in our light and spacious Jaguar Restaurant. Large Summer ceremonies are held in marquees in the heart of the zoo surrounded by luscious greenery and enclosures that house some of our most exciting animal residents.
Why not seize the opportunity and book an animal experience after the ceremony for a wedding photo like no other! There is a choice of exclusive couple experiences, as well as experiences your whole wedding party can enjoy.
From buffets to barbecues, to a sit down three course meal. You can be certain that Dartmoor Zoo can cater to all your specific needs with our flexible catering packages.
Winter receptions and Summer receptions both offer ample space for 80-120 guests with their own dancefloors, bars, and facilities to suit everyone. Perfect for an evening of celebration.

Goodamoor House Ceremony Room
Up to 50 seated guests
Say ‘I do’ in our Goodamoor ceremonial room: a historical setting with original wooden floor and fireplace, creating a perfectly intimate atmosphere for your ceremony.
The double doors can be left open to enjoy the fantastic views of the rolling hills of Dartmoor and the vibrant lawn – where you can enjoy post-ceremony drinks.
Goodamoor Manor House not only has beautiful features but has the history to match. Dating back to the 17th century, the petite Manor House has been known to be a guest house for royalty within the Victorian era.
In recent years, it has been under renovation to give it a clean fresh white look, but still has its decadent features such as its fireplace in the ceremony room.
Jaguar Suite Reception
Up to 50 seated guests
Modern and sleek, our newly refurbished Jaguar Suite is an absolutely gorgeous venue to hold your wedding reception.
With astonishing views and a blank canvas to create the perfect vibe for your special day, we highly recommend viewing this space!
Jaguar Restaurant Reception
120 seated guests – Off-peak
Light and spacious, the restaurant transforms into an incredible venue to host your wedding ceremony. With cream drapes and twinkly lights, plus any personal decorations, the space truly becomes your own – with the added bonus of holding more of your beloved wedding guests.
You also get to enjoy the beautiful views across Dartmoor and our African paddock.
Marquee Reception
80 seated guests – Peak
Exclusively for Summer weddings, our marquees are perfect to house all your guests with plenty of legroom. Set in the heart of the zoo, you will be surrounded by luscious greenery and enclosures that house some of our most exciting animal residents!
Our Snowdrop (off-peak) and Bluebell (peak) takes care of all your wedding day needs or alternatively, view our venue hire rates and discuss with us your ideal catering and entertainment requirements.
